Java-Channel.org Collaborative database of reviews about Java Java-Channel is a collaborative database of reviews about Java resources (articles, tutorials, packages, dev. tools,...). You can use it as a thematic search engine to find valuable resources about a specific topic (EJB, Swing, JIT, ...). Its particularity is to return results organized, commented, and evaluated by Java users, not the raw results from an automatic tool.

JDO Central / Java Data Object Un standard pour accéder aux données en java JDOcentral.com will be a communication platform for the promotion and development of the JDO standard for transparent object persistence. It is intended to nurture grass roots support for the standard, encourage widespread adoption of the standard, and focus thought leadership for JDO products and services.
Much more than an informational vehicle, JDOcentral.com will be an interactive forum for activities such as organizing events, preparing an events calendar, distributing newsletters, and downloading JDO-related products. And despite essential sponsorship from commercial entities, the Web site will be focused on developing and promoting the JDO standard for the benefit of all. Voir aussi : |

Explications simple J2SE There are many buzzwords around the the Java 2 Micro Edition: CLDC, CDC, KVM, Profiles, embedded devices, Cellular phones, MIDP, realtime specification, wireless, wired, WAP, WML, http, Jini, Messaging, Off-device pre-verification and runtime verification with stack maps, PDAs and their operating systems like Psion, EPOC, WindowsCE, portable Linux.
This list is both, impressive and confusing. And I'm sure, I forgot some important buzzwords. How do they fit together? What is in the core and what is optional? What are specifications, what are implementations, what can be done in different ways without violating J2ME? What is already done and stable and and what is only available as draft or not available at all?
